Shannon is one of Shiny’s original founders and continues to lead the overall creative vision for our Clients, leaning into his deep experience in financial services gleaned from over 15 years focused on the industry. Years before Shiny he worked at Razorfish where he first met and worked with Katy Thorbahn. From there he founded his own agency, essentia creative, which became the foundation from which Shiny was built. In his career Shannon has driven creative solutions for a range of Clients from JPMorgan Chase, Sallie Mae, Barclays, and Wells Fargo in financial services, to Expedia, Microsoft, and Ramada in other verticals.

In addition to his creative leadership at Shiny, Shannon is also the brand creator for two beloved restaurant brands: El Diablo Burritos and Hayworth & Finch. For both he created the overarching strategy, branding, and design, and happily for the entire team at Shiny, often brings new dishes to the office for us all to test.
